Only a couple of minutes from the A303 and just 5 minutes by car to the famous ornamental gardens and house at Stourhead, The Walnut Tree Inn makes an ideal stopping off place on journeys to and from the West country.
Just 15 minutes by car to the famous Longleat Safari Park and House, and the Centerparcs resort, we are open every day to welcome guests to this beautiful part of the south west whether living here, staying on holiday or just passing through for an hour or two.
Walnut Food
We offer an extensive menu full of traditional English pub food, with daily changing special’s and vegetarian food. Nearly all the menu is available as a gluten free offering too! We love to welcome families and have a children’s menu that is sure to satisfy even the fussiest of young guests. Our famous Sunday carvery is always busy so booking is a must if you want an early sitting, but we serve all day so don’t panic..you won’t miss out! If you’re looking for somewhere to hold an informal gathering, be it a wedding reception, funeral wake or family get-together then bespoke menus and buffets can be arranged at short or long notice!
The Walnut Tree also offers unrivalled comfort inside, first class facilities for al-fresco drinking and dining, excellent disabled access and services and a fantastic newly refurbished children’s play park which is guaranteed to keep the youngsters happy! We have fibre optic high speed free Wi-Fi…if it doesn’t impress you we’re sure the kids will make use of it!
We always have at least 2 cask ales so if you like your beer from the cask then we’ll always have something to suit. If wine’s your tipple, then with a good range on our list from around the globe there should be plenty to please.
